Setting Up Trezor for the First Time

1. Purchase a Trezor Device First, ensure you buy your Trezor wallet from an official source to avoid counterfeit devices. Visit the official Trezor website to make your purchase.
2. Download Trezor Suite After receiving your Trezor device, you’ll need to install the Trezor Suite. This software is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Simply visit the Trezor website and download the appropriate version for your operating system.

3. Connect Your Trezor Device Plug your Trezor device into your computer using the provided USB cable. You will be prompted to follow on-screen instructions in the Trezor Suite to initialize your device.

4. Create a New Wallet Trezor will ask you if you want to create a new wallet or restore an existing one. If you’re setting it up for the first time, select “Create a New Wallet.” You’ll be guided through the process, which involves generating a recovery seed—a set of 12 to 24 words that will help you recover your wallet in case the device is lost or damaged.

5. Set a PIN For added security, you will be required to set a PIN for your Trezor device. This ensures that even if someone else gains access to your Trezor device, they won’t be able to access your funds without the PIN.
